And bare with my cause it’s gonna be a long and personal one. But I can’t keep telling you to hang on without explaining why this is taking so long.

Yes, I’m still working.
I know it’s been a very long time everyone, but this year got pretty rough for my family. I appreciate everything you guys did for me and the fact that we managed to raise over 9,000$ still honestly blows my mind and I have you all to thank for that. I haven’t forgotten you guys, trust me. Actually, I really wanted to start sending out orders before Christmas. It’s just some other things have to take precedence. I’m only one person after all.
I know I’ve said this next sentence countless times, but bare with me. I won’t leave you all hanging.
Are you ever going to update any asks you receive?
I actually answer any questions whenever their put to me. I just don’t receive many.
In terms of asks containing orders- No. I will not answer them because some contain personal information so I just keep them tucked safely in my ask. Also, if I ever lose my paper keeping track of orders, I’ll have all the information in my ask or over in my gmail. So in terms of orders, they will not be updated. At least not publicly.
If you asked a question that I never answered, then I’m sorry, but I doubt I ever received it. Tumblr does love to eat questions.

Hey guys, it’s been a while.
…Okay, it’s been a month, I know, I know. That’s a long absence even for me. I could chuck a ton of excuses at you but basically all I can say is, I haven’t forgotten about you. I know, I coerced like so many of you into donating your hard earned cash and you’ve heard nothing from me.
Why?
Well, because, while my personal life has been changing, this hasn’t.
At all.
I’m no where near closer to shipping anything than I was last month. I have orders completed, but without having a proper shipping method or even just something to fucking store the charms in without worrying constantly that I might break them or that my cats’ll get at them or something, I just haven’t felt compelled.
Like no motivation.
I don’t want to make several dozen cranes just to have the possibility that they all might get knocked off my desk by some stupid cat, or that one of my friends might try to eat them again because they think it’s candy. (I am not even joking that happened.) My parents keep telling me I can’t let you guys down, and I know that, I know it so much that I don’t even want to risk making them if I’m scared they’ll get damaged.
And I still have nothing to ship them in.
Aren’t you fed up with me yet?
I haven’t checked my email in weeks because if there’s more donations, I don’t want to know. (I’m checking now though ajfdlkldfs There’s nothing new, I’m almost thankful) I have a habit of avoiding my inbox if there’s something that might be lurking in there (ie teachers or wonderful donators that I’m potentially letting down.)
Just… I ask that you just bear with me a little while longer.
Even if I had the materials to pack them in, I still wouldn’t have enough money to mail them all out so yeah. Bear with me. Please.

Yes, we finally broke 900$! After a dry spell in the donation department, I received an email confirming a 20$ donation. Success!
I know I said I don’t really have a set goal and I don’t care how much money I’ve raised, but seriously, 4$ away from 900$ for nearly a month was driving me mad.
I’ve also got an email for an other donation, but large chunks of information were left out and I don’t know what form of currency the donation was made in so I’m just waiting for a reply until I tally that one in.
But 900$ guys! 900$!
Oh and I’m still looking for boxes. In case any of you have information on that.
I feel silly asking, but do you tell people you've successfully received their proof of payement?
If I respond right away, it’s normally only because they forgot to include a piece of information I need before I begin their order (ie- color preference, donation receipt, etc). Otherwise, I wait until I’m done their order to respond.
This probably isn’t very efficient and causes some amount of stress for people, but I haven’t gotten any complaints about it. If you’re waiting for a response, this could be the reason why. But if you’re worried I didn’t receive your email, you can either drop your name in my ask and I’ll let you know, or you can resend the original email. If you let me know you’re waiting for a conformation that I received your proof of payment, I will happily respond.

Hey guys, it’s been a while. But I need your help.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been driving myself mad trying to find something to ship my cranes in. I need something sturdy- that’ll protect the charm and won’t get crushed easily. But (that I can find) the only boxes that are size appropriate are extremely flimsy.
I need something that’s around 3inches for every dimension. A little bigger wouldn’t hurt, even (say 3 1/2, 4 inches.) but I just can’t find anything. I have packing material, like bubble wrap and such, but nothing to pack it into that’ll survive the journey.
Any recommendations?
(seriously, I need some help here. otherwise all of this would’ve been for naught.)
Well no, I suppose that’s wrong. It’s not like this was useless. It spread awareness and we raised nearly 900$ (4$ away from 900 you have no idea how much that’s driving me mad) but I mean, me making all these cranes and everything. What’s the point of them if I can’t ship them out to you lovely folk? So yes, suggestions would be much appreciated.

Update: Earthquakes
Sorry guys, making this post as fast as I can since I really gotta go somewhere.
In case you didn’t know: In the past week to two weeks, Japan has been hit with two more Earth quakes, both around the 7.0 range on the Richter scale.
I really don’t have time at this current moment to go searching for sources for you guys (I’m like just about to run out the door to an appointment) but here’s one article about the aftershocks effecting the nuclear situation:
